I think we can all agree that the only upside to the pandemic was having more time to spend with our beloved pets. Covid-19 forced many offices to close and millions of people found themselves working from home. As a result, people found more time to take photos and videos of their fur babies, giving the internet some much-needed animal content to get through the day.
In a troubling couple of years, these viral animal videos got us through the day and brought a lot of smiles and some relief. Check out these hilarious, cute, and overall great pet content that helped us survive quarantine.
The Best Workout Partners
Working out was a hit or miss for some during quarantine but not for Ellie the therapy dog and his dad, Kevin. They said “no way, quarantine 15” and uploaded lots of at-home workouts for followers to enjoy and join along! – and by “join along” I meant balancing a bag of chips and soda on my stomach while watching and saying “awwww”.
This dynamic duo had people grinning from ear to ear and had us realizing we’ve been using our pets wrong this entire time! You mean to tell me that I could’ve saved hundreds of dollars by working out at home and using my dogs as weights instead of paying for a gym membership? 10 points for creativity and 100 points for being adorable, Ellie!
Magic or Real?
Many used their time at home to experiment with workouts, cooking, and…magic? Toby’s wizard skills and magic put a spell on me and had me smiling so big, my cheeks began to hurt. If you’re a Harry Potter fan like myself, you probably saw this video all over your social media feed.
It not only inspired me to rewatch all the Harry Potter movies in one sitting (because, what else was there to do during a pandemic?) but also had me believing I could recreate this video using my 60+lb pitbull, Jaxson. Needless to say, Toby is much better at magic than Jaxson and I will ever be.
Never Underestimate
Thank goodness Reels and Tiktok came out during quarantine because they gave us hilarious trends to recreate with our pets. Mocha the Pomeranian possibly recreated every viral trending video on social media and we couldn’t be more thankful for it.
With so many viral videos on Mocha’s feed, it was hard to choose which viral video to feature. But after hours of scrolling Mocha’s page, we finally found THE ONE. The one that taught us to never, ever, underestimate a pomeranian; because the chances of getting attacked by a pomeranian are low, but never zero.

The Betrayal
Many of us took the pandemic to grow our families and add new members to the bunch. This made many of us feel happy and complete…but not all of us. Some cats have a different way of expressing their “enthusiasm” towards their siblings. This viral video had many either wanting to add a new member to the club or had them rethinking about adding a newbie at all.
Check out this adorable cat who wasn’t all that excited for the newest addition to join the family. Honestly, if my husband brought a new kitten into the household, I’m pretty positive my cat, Indy would have the same response.

Our Very Own
Not to toot our own horn but we made a video so cute and so hilarious, it went viral on Tiktok! Our Director of Shelter Engagement, Sam and her puppy Finn went viral by Finn popping his head over out the drivers side window and the internet lost its mind.
The video captioned “When your friends are mad bc ur late to the party” played in background of Willow Smith’s song “Wait a Minute!” and became a pretty trendy beat after that. What can we say? We’re masterminds behind animal content.
We hope these videos either got you through quarantine or put a smile on your face! Remember to spend more time with your furry loved ones and always always share their photos and videos. Cute, funny, and relatable animal content will forever be great and have the potential to go viral.
