But with sunny tropical weather comes natural disasters, leaving many animals to fend for themselves.
With so many animals left to endure the elements alone, Florida rescues face capacity. According to the Florida Shelter Animal Census a total of 313,547 cats and dogs were admitted to Florida shelters in 2020. Many of these stray/abandoned animals made up more than half of all intakes.

They provide ongoing education regarding responsible Great Dane ownership and care as well as supplying Great Danes with foster homes and not living in shelters. Their main goal is to match every adoptable Great Dane with the best home possible based on the Danes’ needs.

Animal Haven Rescue of Bay County Florida, INC.
Animal Haven Rescue of Bay County Florida is a great organization who not only takes in strays and abandoned animals, but they also take in owner surrenders. Animal Haven Rescue of Bay County Florida’s main focus is rescuing animals through fostering and adoption. Their mission is to reduce the number of stray and abandoned animals in the Florida community by providing TNR (trap, neuter, release) as well as foster homes and adoption programs.

Bellas Promise Pet Rescue is an amazing cat rescue in south florids. They are unique in the fact that 90% of their rescued cats are transported to the North East where there are waiting lists of potential adopters. They have the second largest rescue pull rate in the county for at risk cats from the local ACC.
