I would love to volunteer with a rescue in northern CA, I noticed most of yours were So. Cal. I currently am caring for my old blind border collie and a cat that was mis treated at a homeless camp in Chico. But would love to offer a forever home to a senior dog that may have been over looked.
That’s wonderful! You should be able to find a rescue near you by searching here: https://cuddly.com/rescues-and-shelters
You might want to contact Lily’s Legacy in Petaluma, Ca. They rescue senior dogs only and ones over 50 lbs. for little senioor dogs, there is Wonder Dog Rescue in Penngrove, Ca. just next to Petaluma. I am sure a dog would be grateful to you for offering a forever home! If I can be of more help, I live here in Petaluma, so you can reach me @ desdamarie@gmail.com. There are lots more rescues around here as well!
I believe we’ve worked with them in the past. If they need support, we’d be happy to work with them again! They can contact rescue@cuddly.com to get a hold of our team.
